Calendar overview

Available on all current plans (Solo, Business and Team).

The Calendar is your scheduling home base — every appointment, color-coded, in the view that suits you.

Views

Switch between Month, Week, Day, and List with the buttons in the toolbar. On phones, the calendar opens in a compact list view automatically.

Which view earns its keep depends on the question you're asking. Month answers "how busy is the back half of March"; Week and Day lay time out to scale, so they are the ones to use when you're fitting a four-hour job between two existing calls. List is the one to read on a phone between stops.

In Month view each appointment stays on a single line so the day cell holds as many as will fit, with a +N more link for the rest. Click it to see the full day.

Scheduling is drag-and-drop

  • Create: click (or click-and-drag across a time range) on any empty slot — the new-appointment dialog opens with that time pre-filled.
  • Move: drag an appointment to a new day or time. It saves instantly.
  • Resize: drag the bottom edge of an appointment to change its duration.

Saves happen immediately, without a confirmation step — dragging is the edit. Appointments marked all-day sit at the top of the day rather than occupying a time slot.

Color coding

Give each appointment one of six colors — use them for job types, team members, locations, whatever mapping keeps your week readable at a glance.

Pick one axis and stay on it. Six colours split by job type tells you at a glance what kind of week it is; six colours split by job type and technician tells you nothing, because you can no longer remember which is which.

Linked assets and double-booking

Attach assets — a van, a camera body, a lift — to an appointment so everyone can see what a job needs. If an asset is already committed at that time, Velosiq shows the clash as a warning and still saves the appointment.

That is deliberate. There are real reasons to hold two entries at one instant — a provisional booking, a job that only needs the trailer for its first hour — so Velosiq tells you and lets you decide, rather than blocking a save it can't understand the context of.

Recurring bills overlay

The Recurring expenses toggle in the header overlays your upcoming recurring bill due dates on the calendar — rent, insurance, subscriptions — projected up to 12 months ahead. Overdue bills show in red, and clicking one takes you to Expenses to record it. See recurring bills on your calendar for the full behaviour.

Appointment states

Appointments carry a status — scheduled, completed, cancelled or no-show. Only cancelled frees the time up: a completed or no-show appointment still occupied the slot, and still counts against asset availability, because it still happened.

Marking no-shows honestly is what makes them countable later, which is the only way you find out a particular client wastes an afternoon a month.
