Add and manage clients

Your client list lives under Clients in the sidebar. Every invoice, appointment, and proposal in Velosiq connects back to a client record.

Add a client

Click New client and fill in the form. Only First name and Last name are required — everything else can be added later:

  • Name — prefix (Mr., Dr., …), first, middle, last, suffix (Jr., III, …)
  • Business name
  • Email — needed later if you want to email invoices, proposals, or reminders to this client
  • Cell phone and Business phone — formatted automatically as you type
  • Address — start typing and pick from the suggestions; street, city, state, and ZIP fill in for you
  • Notes — free-form notes that live on the client's Overview tab
  • Source — where they came from (Google, a friend, Instagram …). Optional, and the list is yours to edit — see track where your clients come from
  • Status — where they sit in your pipeline. New clients start at your first stage (Lead, until you change it). The stages are yours to rename, recolour and add to — see client statuses explained

Tip: Add an email address whenever you can. Sending invoices, proposal links, and automatic payment or appointment reminders all require the client to have an email on file.

Find clients fast

The Clients page has:

  • A search box that matches names, emails, and cell phone numbers as you type
  • A Status dropdown to focus the list on one pipeline stage, and a Source dropdown beside it (including a No source option, for finding the records still missing one)
  • The global search in the top bar also finds clients from anywhere in the app

Edit or delete

Use the row menu (⋯) for View, Edit, or Delete. Deleting a client is permanent, and Velosiq always asks you to confirm first.

On the Business and Team plans the same menu also carries Email portal link and Copy portal link, so you can send a client their portal straight from the list. Email portal link is greyed out for clients with no email address on file.

Plan limits

Every current plan gives you unlimited clients — Solo, Business and Team alike. The legacy Free plan caps at 20; if you hit that cap, Velosiq lets you know and offers a path onto a plan — see Choosing your plan.
