Share the client portal
Available on the Business and Team plans. A single proposal link still works on every plan.
The client portal is a branded web page for your client — their invoices, their proposals, and a booking form — with no account or login required. You share it as a link; they open it in any browser.
Getting the link
- For one invoice: open the invoice and click Portal link — the direct link to that invoice is copied to your clipboard. Perfect for texting.
- For a proposal: open the proposal and click Copy Link, or just click Send — the emailed Review & Accept button carries the link. See what your client sees.
- For the client's whole portal: open the client and click Portal link — see sending a client their portal link below. Their portal home lists every invoice and proposal in one place, plus the appointment booking form.
Sending a client their portal link
Open the client and click Portal link in the header. You get two ways to hand it over:
- Email to client — Velosiq sends the client a short email with an Open my portal button. It comes from your business: your name in the header, your brand colour and banner if you've set them, and replies go to your own address. There is no Velosiq branding on it. Velosiq asks you to confirm the address first, then tells you whether the message actually left.
- Copy link — puts the address on your clipboard instead, for a text message or your own email app.
Both are also on the ⋯ menu of any row in your Clients list, so you can send one without opening the client.
Email to client is greyed out when the client has no email address on file. Add one on their profile and it becomes available.
Every send is recorded — "Emailed the portal link to …" appears on the client's Timeline under Emails, and in the activity log, so there's a record of who sent what and when.
What it looks like
The portal carries your brand: your header logo (from Settings) on a clean, professional page — always rendered in a crisp light theme regardless of your own app preferences. To your client, it's simply your portal.
What clients can do
| Section | What they see |
|---|---|
| Your Invoices | Every invoice with amount and status, each opening the full document |
| Your Proposals | Proposals you've sent, with one-click review and e-signature acceptance |
| Book an Appointment | A request form that lands straight on your calendar |
Treat links like keys
Portal links don't require a password — that's what makes them frictionless for clients. Share each client's link only with that client, through a channel you'd trust with the invoice itself (their email, their phone number). If you're ever unsure who has a link, you can simply stop using the portal for that client and deliver invoices as PDFs instead.
