Understand revenue, receivables, profit, and clients

Reporting in Velosiq answers four questions: what came in, what is still owed, what you kept, and who is worth keeping.

Understanding your analytics explains how the numbers are built. The important thing to know up front is that revenue is counted as cash, on the day a payment cleared — not when the invoice was raised. A partial payment counts immediately for the part that landed. That makes the revenue chart match your bank rather than your intentions.

Revenue and receivables covers both halves: money in over time, and money outstanding broken into ageing buckets so you can see what is merely late versus what is becoming a problem.

Profit and loss puts income against tracked expenses over twelve months. Client value reports rank clients by what they have actually paid, with average days-to-pay alongside — because your largest client and your best client are not always the same one.

The summary, receivables and client reports are on every plan. Profit and loss needs expense tracking, and the deeper trend reports are Business and Team.
